GETTYSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – A 19-year-old Adams County woman has pleaded not guilty to charges stemming from the stabbing death of her husband last year.
Leah Lippy made the plea during her formal arraignment Friday morning in Adams County court.
Lippy was charged with criminal homicide and possessing an instrument of crime after an Oct. 3 incident at the couple's home at 380 Beaver Creek Road in Berwick Township.
Officers called to the home said 23-year-old Adam Lippy was unconscious and bleeding from the chest. He was flown to York Hospital and died about two hours later.
Lippy told investigators that she was using a steak knife to cut cheese for a burrito when her husband walked up behind her and she turned and accidentally stabbed him, according to police.
